AMSAF Awarded $250,000 Grant to Continue Providing Motorcycle Rider Training Scholarships

July 6, 2016, Peoria, Arizona – The Arizona Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Foundation (AMSAF) announces the award of a $250,000 grant from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (AZGOHS) and the Arizona Motorcycle Safety Advisory Council (AMSAC). The grant, which demonstrates support for AMSAF’s mission of boosting awareness of motorcyclists while reducing rider fatalities and injuries, will be used to provide motorcycle rider training classes to the public through a scholarship program.
“AMSAF is excited to continue giving out more scholarships to help educate new and present riders,” says Mick Degn, AMSAF chairman.

AMSAF Awarded $50,000 Grant to Continue Providing Motorcycle Rider Training Scholarships

September 1, 2015, Peoria, Arizona – The Arizona Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Foundation (AMSAF) announces the award of a $50,000 grant from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (AZGOHS) and the Arizona Motorcycle Safety Advisory Council (AMSAC). The grant, which demonstrates support for AMSAF’s mission of boosting awareness of motorcyclists while reducing rider fatalities, will be used to provide motorcycle rider training classes to the public through a scholarship program.
“We are very excited to have the opportunity to continue giving out more scholarships and help educate new and present riders,” says AMSAF chairman Mick Degn. “This continues to be the largest thing we’ve been able to do to promote motorcycle safety and awareness and to reduce motorcycle accidents and fatalities. This will allow anyone in the state of Arizona to apply for, and receive, motorcycle training,” said Degn. “Their only cost is a $100 non-refundable co-pay.” This past year AMSAF has been able to give out more than 1200 Scholarships in the State of Arizona to help educate riders.
