Description

AMSAF’s Mission since the beginning has been to Educate the public on safety and awareness and help reduce crashes and fatalities in Arizona. In doing that we offer a motorcycle training financial assistance Scholarship program. This program allows individuals to get into motorcycle training at a reduced cost. This program continues to grow since its conception.

In 2020 we started offering a Helmet financial assistance program. Arizona is a State where you have a choice if you want to wear a helmet or not. AMSAF wanted to help those that wear a helmet or will be wearing one by creating a financial assistance program to help get them into a good DOT modular or full-face helmet. This program continues to grow since its conception.

In 2022, AMSAF would like to add another program to help with our Mission of Educating on Safety and Awareness. This year we will start to offer a program called Accident Scene Management. The purpose of this program is the following:

  • Reduce injuries and fatalities at the scene of the motor vehicle crashes.
  • Reduce rescuer injury at the scene of a crash.
  • Enhance the effectiveness of the EMS by having trained bystanders tend to the injured until professional help arrives.

We will offer financial assistance for two (2) courses:

  1. A crash course for the Motorcyclist (Basic)
This is our most popular class. Learn what to do in the first 5-30 minutes after a crash until professional help arrives. Fully Instructor-Led (IL) by a certified ASM instructor, this 7-hour class (8 hours with lunch) teaches helmet removal, jaw thrust rescue breathing, moving the injured, controlling bleeding, and more. All skills are taught and practiced.
  2. Advanced Bystander Assistance (Advanced)
Learn to be a leader at a scene as well as how to assist the EMS when they arrive. Advanced Airway Management, Common medical emergencies, assisting the EMS with Extrication, Femoral Traction, role play, and more are taught in this 7-hour instructor-led class (8 hours with a lunch break).

We look forward to working with Accident Scene Management and the community on helping make Arizona a safer place. Our goal is to continue helping the community with their budget on safety related programs through our numerous programs.

These programs are possible due to Grants, Sponsors, Donations, and other partners who want to help reduce crashes and fatalities in Arizona. TOGETHER we can make a difference.
